What is Mobile Home Escrow
You may be asking yourself, What exactly Is “Escrow”? Escrow is defined as the deposit of instruments and funds with instructions to a third neutral party (Escrow Agent/Escrow Holder) to carry out the provision of an agreement or contract. When everything is deposited to the Escrow Holder to enable them in carrying out the instructions, it is called a complete escrow and title can be transferred.
What is HCD? HCD stands for Housing & Community Development, for the State of California. The Registration and Titling Program of the Housing and Community Development provides registration and title documents for new or resold manufactured homes. This division assures ownership security and consumer protection by efficiently administering the regulations and statutes governing the registration and titling program.
